Mounts for shock loads are manufactured to allow great movements of the equipment to be shock-absorbed. The shock mounts can be designed very differently and can be supplied in many variants. IAC Acoustics offers shock absorbers in the types Wiremounts, Elastomer Mounts and Nato Naval Elastic Mounts.
Shock calculations can be made for all types of shock mounts.
IAC Acoustics performs 2 types of shock calculations:
See the standards we provide shock calculations in accordance with.
Shock and Vibration Damper Type Helical is a wire mount that covers the entire range from small to large equipment. Helical Mounts are available in standard models with 6, 8 or 10 cable loops and provide combined shock and vibration isolation from 2.7 Hz and upwards.
Half-Helical is a wire mount designed for medium-duty applications. These shock dampers are available in standard models with four cable loops and offer excellent corrosion resistance and high adaptability.
Shock and vibration damper type Polycal is for lighter equipment and is characterized by unique properties such as high endurance and reliability, excellent corrosion resistance and no aging.
Nato Stock represents slightly older models of shock dampers that are widely used on naval vessels. Nato Stock Mounts can also be applied in industrial settings where isolation against shock loads is required, and where high vibration isolation is equally important.
Elastomer Mounts provide excellent shock and vibration damping properties. They are characterized by multi-directional shock/vibration isolation, high adaptability, and suitability for a wide temperature range.
Shock and vibration dampers of the Axycal type offer shock and vibration isolation from 15-20Hz and upwards. Typical use cases are for example by the military and medical and electronics companies for light equipment (lightweight).
